Latest News From All Dogs Matter
Our friends at All Dogs Matter reflect on a very successful Valentine's Walk, look ahead to the Great Hampstead Bark Off and search for a forever home for the lovely Star.
This Valentines, hundreds came together for the annual All Dogs Matter Valentines Dog Walk on Hampstead Heath. This event raises valuable funds for our charity and helps us continue with the work we do. We were so pleased to see many new faces on top of all our regular supporters, plus we are always very happy to see our happily rehomed dogs back to say hello!
Loved up dogs and owners set off from the Garden Gate Pub South End Green, armed with their goodie bags filled with treats and more! Despite the weather, everyone was in high spirits and a procession of two-legged and four-legged friends all set off across the Heath.
After a very muddy walk, everyone met back at the pub to meet some of our Lonely Hearts looking for homes! We were delighted to see ADM supporters Ricky Gervais and Jane Fallon there too, who kindly came along to have a quick cuddle with some All Dogs Matter dogs! Two found forever families following the event, Edie the Mastiff Cross and Pixie the Terrier.
Just over £1000 was raised on the day, which is a pawsome amount and makes such a difference to our charity. Funds like this will go towards kennelling fees and emergency veterinary care to help us save even more abandoned/unwanted dogs in London. If you missed out, come along to the Great Hampstead Bark Off on Hampstead Heath in May, you’d be barking mad to miss
This month's featured dog - Star
Please meet the very sweet Star! She has sadly come into our care because her owner wanted to move abroad and didn’t really care about what happened to her. Luckily we were able to step in and now we are looking for the loving new home that she deserves!
Star is a 14 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is an affectionate girl who is looking for a home to call her own! She is desperately sad in kennels and is finding it very scary, so we would urgently like to find her a foster space.
She is ok with other dogs so could possibly live with the right, calm male dog but we are sure she would be just as happy on her own.
Star is just one of the dogs we have looking for homes at the moment. If you would like any further information about any of our dogs or would like to know how you can get involved, please just get in touch via our website www.alldogsmatter.co.uk or email info@alldogsmatter.co.uk
